Privacy
This notice covers the relk.dev website. The Relk service itself gets its own terms and data processing agreement at launch. Last updated 18 October 2026.
Who we are
relk.dev is run by Oleg Klimakov, a private individual, who decides how the data below is used (the controller under the GDPR). For anything about your data, write to hello@relk.dev or oleg@klimakov.me.
Visiting this site
We count visits with Umami, an analytics tool we run on our own server in Helsinki, Finland. It records the page, the referring site, browser, operating system, device type and country, and which buttons were used. It sets no cookies, stores no IP addresses and builds no profile of you, so there is nothing to consent to and no banner. The site loads nothing from other companies: fonts and scripts come from our own server.
Our web server keeps no log of visits. If a request fails with an error, the error log can hold that request's IP address; we use it only to find and fix the problem.
Why: our legitimate interest in knowing which pages people use and in keeping the site working (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)). How long: visit records stay while the site runs, since none of them identifies you; error log entries until the problem is fixed.
Emails you send us
If you write to us, we keep your email address and the conversation to reply and, if you asked about using Relk, to get back to you when it's ready for your app. We don't add you to a mailing list or share your email.
Why: to answer you (legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f)) and, when you ask about using Relk, to take the steps you asked for before an agreement (Art. 6(1)(b)). Who handles it: mail to hello@relk.dev is forwarded by our domain registrar, Namecheap, and stored by our email provider, Google, which may process it outside the EU under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. How long: while we are in touch and for up to two years after our last message, or until you ask us to delete it.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask what we hold about you and for a copy of it, have it corrected or deleted, restrict how we use it, and object to uses based on our legitimate interest. Write to either address above; we answer within a month. You can also complain to a data protection authority, in particular in the EU country where you live or work; in Finland that is the Data Protection Ombudsman.
